About Medherant
Medherant is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company developing transdermal therapies on its proprietary TEPI Patch® platform. The drug is mixed directly into a solvent-free, pressure-sensitive adhesive developed by the company, which is designed for controlled release and skin adhesion.
Its lead product is a testosterone patch for Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD) in postmenopausal women, worn twice weekly. The platform is also positioned for other areas such as menopause hormone therapy and pain relief. Medherant plans to earn milestone payments and licence revenues, and it collaborates with third parties to formulate their drugs for transdermal delivery using TEPI technology.
Medherant was founded in 2014 by Professor David Haddleton and the University of Warwick and is headquartered in Coventry, UK. It has secured funding from Mercia Fund Management, the British Business Bank and private investors. A Phase I pharmacokinetic study of the testosterone patch was reported in October 2025.
Product: TEPI Patch® transdermal drug delivery platform; lead product is a twice-weekly testosterone patch for HSDD in postmenopausal women.
