About Micregen
Micregen is a UK company developing Secretomix®, a cell-free therapeutic platform built from substances released by stem cells rather than from the cells themselves. Its lead candidate, MRG1061, is designed for necrotising enterocolitis (NEC) in premature infants and has shown a statistically significant reduction in NEC lesion severity in preclinical models.
The company is in the advanced preclinical phase and has developed proprietary GMP cell banks and manufacturing partners for clinical-grade material. Its next steps are clinical-grade manufacture, GLP safety and toxicology work, a CTA submission to the MHRA and a first-in-human trial. Micregen is seeking investment for this step and plans to license the platform to pharma partners once initial human safety and efficacy data are available. Longevity applications are held separately under Anageria™.
Micregen was founded in 2015 and builds on about twenty years of academic stem cell secretome research. It is headquartered in Bolton and has a commercial office at Alderley Park, Cheshire. It is not currently advertising open roles.
Product: Secretomix®, a cell-free therapeutic platform based on stem cell secretome; lead candidate MRG1061 for necrotising enterocolitis.
