About VALEGA Chain Analytics

VALEGA Chain Analytics provides cryptocurrency investigation and anti-money laundering services. Its Transaction Intelligence offering links wallet addresses to real-world actors and traces fund flows between banking systems and blockchains. Its API-based Crypto Transaction Monitoring service tracks individual blockchain transactions to flag suspicious activity.

Services are aimed at financial sector institutions, mainly cryptocurrency exchanges, and at SMEs. The company also offers litigation support, due diligence and forensics, which vet individuals and companies using sources of wealth, adverse media, public records and transaction histories, and it provides forensic reports for use in cases. Partners include Alaco Analytics (UK) for digital forensics and Softronic AB (Sweden) for IT infrastructure.

The company was founded in 2019 and is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland; it also dates its founding to 2018. In 2020 it closed a €300,000 angel seed round led by the Finnish Business Angels Network (FiBAN) and Accelerator Frankfurt. In 2023, Katalysen Ventures and Alaco Analytics acquired an initial 10% stake.
