About Tempia
Tempia designs and manufactures CO₂ (R744) cooling and heating systems for maritime and industrial use, including compact units with heat exchangers built in-house. Its two product families are the CO2PRO RSW, which provides refrigerated seawater for vessels and fish processing plants, and the CO2PRO Chiller/Heat, which combines a chiller and a heat pump in one unit. The company has a patented superheat control solution and seawater heat exchangers with titanium tube bundles and polyethylene shells.
Customers include aquaculture facilities and wellboats, fishing vessels, fish processing plants, industrial users, marine HVAC, data centres and ice rinks. Each system is sized and quoted per project.
Tempia was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Svolvær, Lofoten, Norway, where it designs and manufactures its own systems. It has carried out research and development on CO₂ as a natural refrigerant since 2015.
Product: CO2PRO RSW seawater cooling units and CO2PRO Chiller/Heat units combining chiller and heat pump functions, both using CO₂ as refrigerant.
