METEL s.r.o. develops and manufactures communication systems for security and control applications. Its main product is the LAN-RING & IPLOG network infrastructure system, and its range also includes IP and optical systems, optical converters, network switches with firmware updates, and support for the IEC 60870-5-104 protocol in energy and industrial projects. Products are designed and manufactured in the Czech Republic under the MADE IN METEL label.
Customers are organisations in critical infrastructure, industry, transport and automation. The company sells its hardware and offers a five-year minimum warranty and free technical support.
METEL was founded in 2002 and is based in Česká Skalice, Czech Republic. The company states it has specialised in communication systems since 1996 and has about 30 years of experience in critical infrastructure. It holds ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications and uses components that comply with the US NDAA. Its solutions are reported to be in use in 32 countries.
