MICRORISC

MICRORISC develops and manufactures the IQRF wireless mesh technology, which lets manufacturers add wireless connectivity and Internet/cloud links to their products. Its portfolio also includes IQRF lighting bridges and controllers, gateways and repeaters, sensors, custom electronic and electromechanical development, and distribution of electronic components such as microcontrollers, relays, connectors, LCD displays and batteries.

The company sells to electronics and device manufacturers, lighting and building automation businesses, and system integrators, and distributes components from partner manufacturers. IQRF technology is also licensed through the IQRF Alliance, an association of developers and manufacturers. The input does not describe the revenue split between product sales, components and development services.

MICRORISC s.r.o. was founded in 1999 in Jičín, Czech Republic, and its IQRF technology has been handled by the spin-off IQRF Tech s.r.o. since 2017. The company states it has a distribution network across Europe and that more than half of its employees work in R&D. It has a Research and Technology Centre in the Jičín industrial zone and recruits for development, technology, production, technical support and sales roles.
