About Tribune Therapeutics
Tribune Therapeutics develops novel medicines to treat fibrosis regardless of its cause or the affected tissue. Its strategy interrupts signaling by CCN protein family members, such as CCN2 (CTGF), that drive the pro-fibrotic pathway. Its most advanced candidate, TRX-44, interferes with activated pro-fibrotic CCN domains. The company reports anti-fibrotic effects in animal models of lung and kidney fibrosis.
The company is a preclinical biopharmaceutical company. Its pipeline is based on research by co-founder Dr. Ole Kaasbøll, built on CCN signaling research in the laboratory of Dr. Håvard Attramadal. The target patients are people with fibrotic diseases that can lead to failure of organs such as the heart, kidneys, lungs or liver.
Tribune Therapeutics is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and was founded in 2021. It is funded by HealthCap and Novo Seeds. Its leadership includes CEO Georg Vo Beiske, CSO Ole J. Kaasbøll and CTO Berthold Bödeker.
Product: Preclinical anti-fibrotic drug candidates; lead candidate TRX-44 targets pro-fibrotic CCN signaling.
