About Thor Medical
Thor Medical produces and supplies alpha-particle emitters for cancer therapy. The production process separates naturally occurring radioactive decay products from thorium (Th-232), so it requires no irradiation in nuclear reactors or accelerators. Chemicals and radioactive materials are reprocessed and reused, which keeps waste output low.
Its customers are developers of radionuclide and radioligand therapies. In October 2026 the company announced a three-year supply agreement with Medicines Discovery Catapult in the UK to support radiopharmaceutical development. The company is organised as a public limited company (ASA) and has an investor relations section.
Thor Medical is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and was established in 2009. Its pilot facility at Herøya Industrial Park in Norway has produced alpha-emitting isotopes since 2024 for research and early customer supply. A larger facility, AlphaOne, is under development to scale production for commercial isotope delivery.
Product: Alpha-particle emitting radionuclides produced from thorium-232 for cancer therapy
