About Suomen Lääkekehityskeskus

The Finnish Drug Discovery Center Ltd helps research communities advance drug targets and compounds from early-stage research to investment-ready products. Its expertise covers medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, non-clinical development and business development, across small molecules and biological drugs in all areas of therapeutics.

It serves Finnish universities and research institutes, as well as operators and companies in the clinical drug research sector. It invests in drug compounds through capital investments, IP rights licensing, consulting services or success-fee agreements, with the model negotiated case by case. It does not issue research grants.

The company was founded in 2022 and is headquartered in Turku. It is a state-owned special assignment company under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, with capital investment of €20 million and a team of up to 10 people.

Product: Drug compound development support and investment, from target identification and early screening through preclinical and clinical planning.
