About The Solubility Company

The Solubility Company provides measurement services based on its proprietary image-based SPA® platform. The platform outputs solubility, dissolution rate, particle morphology and physicochemical properties such as logP and pKa from microgram-scale samples. Its named screens include the Alpha Formulation screen, which identifies vehicles for preclinical drug dosing, and the Alpha Polymorph screen, which identifies the most probable stable polymorph of a new chemical entity.

The company operates as a preclinical contract research organization. Its customers are pharmaceutical, biotech and specialty chemicals companies, and it earns revenue from measurement services.

The company was founded in 2018 as a spin-out from the University of Helsinki, after work on the approach began in 2013. Its service laboratories are in Helsinki, Finland and Quakertown, Pennsylvania.
