About Previwo
Previwo develops probiotics for farmed fish. Its product Stembiont® Vital is a probiotic for farmed salmon and trout, made of naturally occurring bacteria introduced to fish during the smolt stage.
Its customers are fish farms and aquaculture operators in the Nordic region. Partnerships include a three-year agreement with Andfjord Salmon and a partnership with veterinary services in Iceland. The company is built on a method for identifying and selecting specific probiotic bacterial strains.
Previwo is a Norwegian biotechnology company based in Oslo, founded in 2013. It originates from research by Professor Henning Sørum at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). A new research lab for probiotics was announced in March 2026.
