About Koninklijk Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaartcentrum
Royal NLR (Netherlands Aerospace Centre) is an applied research organisation covering aerospace work from analysis and research through development, qualification and certification. It operates wind tunnels, simulators, research aircraft, prototyping and test equipment, and is an EASA Qualified Entity for product certification, flight standards approval, and air traffic management and air navigation systems. Its expertise areas include aircraft operation and certification, air traffic management, maintenance and repair, space technology, defence and security, and training and simulation.
Customers include the Dutch government and Defence, for which NLR is described as strategic partner, as well as SMEs and large international aerospace companies. The organisation works on a project basis for these clients.
The organisation traces its roots to 1919 and has over 1000 professionals. It is based in Amsterdam and Marknesse, with a satellite location at the Space Campus in Noordwijk. Its current openings cover R&D engineering, wind tunnel operation, aerospace maintenance, CNC machining, IT infrastructure and PhD research.
