About Robin Radar
Robin Radar Systems develops 360° 3D radar systems for detecting small flying objects such as drones and birds. Its products include the IRIS drone-detection radar, which offers an API for integration and classification with micro-Doppler and deep neural networks, and the MAX bird-detection radar with a one-second scan speed.
Customers are in defence, security, government infrastructure, civil aviation, military aviation and wind farms. The company sells radar systems; its website cites a major contract with the Dutch Ministry of Defence to supply 100 IRIS radars.
The technology originated with TNO's ROBIN project from 1980, and the company was registered as a limited liability company in 2010 after a spin-out from TNO. It was acquired by the Dutch investment company Parcom in 2024. The website lists dedicated bases in Europe and the USA, a staff of 150+ people, and open roles in engineering (embedded, C++, DevOps, radar systems), operations, commercial and enablement functions.
Product: IRIS drone-detection and classification radar and MAX bird-detection radar, with an API for integration.
