About Harbor
Harbor AS develops Harbor Fence, a patented preventive system that creates an electromagnetic field around salmon net pens. The field is meant to stop sea lice larvae from attaching to fish. Electrodes hang vertically in the sea as an open barrier, and a pulse generator and control cabinet set the frequency and length of the pulses.
The system is aimed at salmon farming operators. Installations are built from 10-metre base sections joined to the required perimeter, with a standard depth of 10 metres, and work on both plastic and steel pens. The company provides a service agreement for installations and takes back and replaces them.
Harbor was founded in 2007 and is registered as an AS in Norway, with its headquarters in Randaberg.
Product: Harbor Fence: a patented electromagnetic barrier with electrodes, a pulse generator and a control cabinet, installed around salmon net pens.
