About Group Rhodes
Group Rhodes designs and manufactures machinery for metalforming, technical fabrication, precision engineering, recycling, material handling, and clay working and concrete. Its range includes CNC and PLC metalforming machines, Super Plastic Forming and Diffusion Bonding presses for titanium and aluminium alloys, autoclaves, and crushing and feeding equipment for municipal solid waste. The company manufactures over fifty basic machine ranges and also builds bespoke machinery and turnkey solutions.
Customers are manufacturers in sectors including aerospace, automotive, aluminium, building products, mining and quarrying, nuclear, pharmaceutical, railway, recycling and textiles. The group is organised into seven operating divisions, among them Joseph Rhodes, Rhodes Interform, Craven Fawcett, Beauford Engineers, Rhodes Environmental, Slater & Crabtree and Hallamshire Engineering. It sells machinery, turnkey projects, and technical fabrication and machining services.
Founded in 2004, the company is headquartered in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, where its divisions operate from a main site that includes a recently added 25,000 sq ft premises. It also operates divisions in Sheffield and Manchester and has a facility in Bangalore, India. The group has received the Queen's Award for Enterprise twice, first for its SPF/DB presses and again in 2012 for overseas market achievements, particularly in China.
