About Bio-Me
Bio-Me AS develops the Precision Microbiome Profiling (PMP™) platform, a qPCR-based method for high-throughput microbiome analysis down to species and strain level. The company offers an end-to-end workflow covering sample collection, DNA extraction and microbiome analysis, along with custom 56-target panels and custom assay development for proprietary strains.
Customers include academic researchers, pharma and clinical researchers, and companies in preventive and consumer health. Bio-Me sells analysis services, custom panels and assay development, and supports drug and diagnostic test development with PMP™. The platform is combined with an exclusive biobank and a patient database, and the company has co-authored a Journal of Investigative Dermatology study and partnered with Pelvic Relief on a vaginal microbiome test.
Bio-Me is headquartered in Oslo and was founded in 2016. Its co-CEOs are Warren Flood and Arne Materna. In November 2025 it appointed Dr. Davide Manissero to its board to focus on women's health diagnostics, and in August 2026 it was selected to join the Nordic Mentor Network For Entrepreneurship (NOME).
