Blue Analytics

Blue Analytics is a Norwegian biotechnology company that provides diagnostics and genomics analyses for farmed and wild aquatic species and agricultural species. Diagnostics identify disease-causing viruses, bacteria and parasites, while genomics covers genotyping for breeding and origin determination. Applications include health monitoring, tracking of escaped fish, species determination, food safety and breeding work.

Its customers are fish health and aquaculture companies, and farmers who use the results to make evidence-based decisions on animal health and production. Analyses are performed in the company's laboratory in Bergen on submitted sample material from organisms or the environment. Customers order analyses and sampling kits through the company's website.

Blue Analytics was established in 2020 as a spin-off from the vaccine company Vaxxinova Norway. It is based in the Slippen building in Bergen and operates its laboratory at Marineholmen in Bergen. The company has 18 employees. Recent appointments include a Head of Laboratory and a Sales and Product Specialist.
