About Windracers
Windracers engineers, manufactures and operates the ULTRA, a dual-use heavy-lift fixed-wing drone with a 700 L cargo bay, over 200 kg payload capacity and short take-off and landing. The system includes a proprietary autopilot built on a distributed architecture and Mission Control software that plans missions and gives operators control.
Customers are organisations in defence, air cargo, humanitarian and research sectors. Windracers sells ULTRA Direct, where customer teams are trained to run ULTRA themselves with spares, updates and operational support, and ULTRA as a Service, where Windracers delivers missions end-to-end. Among its customers, the University of Alaska Fairbanks' ACUASI bought multiple ULTRA aircraft and was trained by Windracers in 2025.
Windracers Limited has a London address and operational sites in Fareham, Hampshire and Llanbedr, Gwynedd. The company states that ULTRA has been operated in Ukraine for more than three years and has flown missions in Europe, Greenland, the United States, Antarctica and Africa.
