About Weightlifter Bodies
Weightlifter Bodies Ltd designs and builds tipper trailers, trailer chassis, rigid truck bodies and walking floors. Trailer chassis are built in-house and Finite Element Analysed, and rigid tipper bodies are built with hardened aluminium. The company also supplies genuine parts for sheeter systems, braking, on-board weighing, suspension, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and offers scheduled and emergency after-sales service. A SMART Trailer Package with connected systems is available across its trailer builds.
Customers range from blue chip operators to owner drivers in aggregate, agricultural, construction, waste and specialist transport sectors. The company sells built-to-order bodies and trailers, including custom builds, together with parts and service. It is owned by Grange Cross Ltd and, together with its subsidiary PPG Fabrications, offers tipping semi-trailers, rigid bodies, walking floors and ancillary equipment.
The company is headquartered in Hull and also has operations in Scunthorpe, where it is recruiting a fitter. Its origins date to the 1930s, when J.B. Weightman began making wooden vehicle bodies; it introduced its first alloy tipper in 1971. The company is registered in the UK under a 1979 founding date.
