About Westin Engineering

Westin Engineering is a subcontract CNC machining company based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. It offers CNC turning, five-axis milling, gear cutting, grinding, batch work and one-off production, and manufactures parts from drawings or specifications, reverse engineers components and repairs worn parts. Dynamic balancing, shot blasting and CAD/CAM offline programming are also offered. Quality control uses CMM measurement to within five microns, and the company is ISO 9001:2015 accredited.

Customers are in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, marine and utilities. The company sells machining and repair services on a project and batch basis. Its group also includes Westin Drives, which handles rewinds, repairs and automation for electric motors; Westin Pumps, which supplies and repairs industrial marine products; and Quality Servo Motor Repairs, which handles servo motor repairs. The repair service centre has an internal lifting capacity of up to 20 tonnes.

The Westin name dates to 1921, when Walter Stanley Westin founded a business for electric motor repairs and rewinds. The Westin Engineering legal entity was founded in 2018 and operates from a former textile mill in Huddersfield. The group is currently recruiting a Group External Sales Representative.
