About Watbots

Watbots AS develops an autonomous net-cleaning robot for aquaculture. The robot cleans fish farm nets continuously with soft brushes and two-sided, magnetically guided movement, and it charges itself between cleaning sessions. It sends video and status automatically and alerts operators when something needs attention.

The product is aimed at fish farming operators who want to limit biofilm and fouling on nets without pressure washing. The website describes a commercial pilot running at a customer site.

The company was founded in 2019 and is headquartered in Sandnessjøen, Norway. Its website states that the technology has been under development for six years. Envirex Group bought into the company in August 2025, and the company has announced it is recruiting a new managing director.

Product: Autonomous, magnetically guided net-cleaning robot for fish farm nets, with continuous two-sided brushing and automatic video and status reporting.
