About Aqua Robotics
Aqua Robotics AS develops HALO, a robotic system for cleaning nets at fish farming sites. The system cleans without high-pressure water or pumps, which the company says limits stress on the fish. Its stated aim is a net free of biofouling, supporting fish health and growth.
Customers are fish farming operators. Mowi has a long-term cooperation agreement with the company, following several years of joint technology development and testing of net-cleaning robots.
The company was founded in 2016 by the Molaug family and is based in Bryne, Norway. It completed a transaction totalling about NOK 85 million with investors Skeie teknologi AS and Nysnø Klimainvesteringer AS and existing shareholders T.D. Veen AS, Jakob Hatteland Holding AS and Kkera Invest AS.
Product: HALO, a robotic net-cleaning system for aquaculture pens.
