About VARCUS Solutions
VARCUS Solutions develops mixed-reality and augmented-reality tools for maritime professionals. AEGIR is a mixed-reality simulator built from digital twins of real vessel assets, where trainees work with physical equipment to practise procedures under industry standards such as GWO and STCW. ESBEN is an AR navigation tool that overlays data such as predicted path, SOG and COG onto the user's field of view through a headset; its first version, launched in July 2025, was developed for Apple Vision Pro.
Customers include maritime training providers. AEGIR was installed at the Estonian Maritime Academy in March 2024, and partner Reval Safety Training Center obtained GWO certification for a course run on AEGIR. In February 2026 the company signed a distribution agreement with DK M-Tech in South Korea, its first global distributor.
VARCUS Solutions was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia. In February 2026 it began joint research with the Smart Sea Centre of Excellence at TalTech to validate ESBEN, and in May 2026 it began establishing a legal entity in Singapore for its Asia-Pacific presence.
