About Tryhackme

TryHackMe is a browser-based cyber security training platform with over 1,000 hands-on labs and learning paths covering offensive, defensive and purple team skills for all levels. Each learner is given a personal virtual machine that can be started from the browser to practise attacks and defence on realistic scenarios. Certification tracks include Junior Penetration Tester, Security Analyst Level 1 and Security Analyst Level 2.

Individual learners pay for premium content through subscriptions, and many labs are free to access. Businesses buy team plans that include workspaces, assignments, a custom CTF builder, custom learning labs, reporting, SSO and API access, with transferable licences. The platform also serves schools, colleges and universities.

TryHackMe was founded in 2018 by Ben Spring and Ashu Savani and is headquartered in London. The company describes itself as fully bootstrapped, without outside investment, and states that it has 8,000,000 total users.
