Tereos TTD

Tereos TTD, a.s. processes sugar beet into white sugar, food-grade and industrial ethanol, and by-products such as beet pellets, vinasse and lime sludge at its plants in Dobrovice, České Meziříčí, Chrudim, Kojetín, Kolín and the Mělník packaging centre. Sugar is sold in retail packs, bulk bags and by tanker or rail to industrial users; ethanol goes to beverage, cosmetics and fuel blending customers, and by-products go to agriculture and feed.

The company is part of the Tereos group and is majority owned by Tereos (62.07%), with Nordzucker holding 35.38%. Its website describes the company as the largest sugar and ethanol producer in the Czech Republic, with roots in a sugar factory founded in Dobrovice in 1831. Tereos TTD was acquired by Union SDA (now Tereos) in 1992, and the company is registered as an a.s. with headquarters in Dobrovice.
