Swissquote operates online investing platforms and banking services. The website presents Swissquote Bank Europe, its Luxembourg-based EU bank, offering trading and investment accounts, a Swissquote Mastercard, wealth management, Luxembourg life insurance and depositary services for investment funds, including digital asset funds.

Customers are private investors, independent financial advisers, family offices and financial institutions. Revenue comes from banking and account fees, currency conversion spreads and other trading-related charges, as shown on the bank's published pricing page.

Swissquote was founded in Switzerland in 1996 by two engineers, Mark Bürki and Paolo Buzzi. Its Luxembourg bank was founded in 2000 as Internaxx Bank, acquired Keytrade Bank Luxembourg in 2022 and was renamed Swissquote Bank Europe in 2020. The bank is regulated by the CSSF under ECB oversight.
