About twint.ch

TWINT builds a mobile payment app in Switzerland. Users pay by scanning QR codes at payment terminals or QR stickers, pay in online shops, send money to other TWINT users and split bills. The app also offers digital vouchers, insurance, subscription comparison and cash withdrawal at partner shops.

Its customers are private users, who pay through the app, and merchants that accept TWINT payments in stores, online shops and at mobility providers. Merchants are charged a percentage of transaction volume: 1.30% for point-of-sale transactions and 1.35% for distance transactions, plus a fixed CHF 0.36 per TWINT invoice transaction, under a price schedule dated July 2026.

TWINT AG was founded in September 2016. The company reports more than 6 million users, 901 million transactions in 2025 and more than 250 employees. It has offices in Zurich and Bern. Current job openings are an IMS internship in application development and a commercial apprenticeship, both in Zurich.
