About Spetals Verk

Spetals Verk designs, installs and services electromechanical solutions for new hydropower plants and for upgrade and modernisation projects. Its in-house CommonBlade™ turbine technology supports parametric design of tailored Francis and Pelton turbines. Control, hydraulic, cooling and lubrication subsystems are developed, produced and tested internally.

Customers are hydropower plant owners and operators, including Østfold Energi, Telemark Energi Produksjon and Njord Vannkraft. Besides equipment and project delivery, the company provides service and maintenance over the full lifetime of a plant.

The company is headquartered in Kongsvinger, Norway, where it carries out internal engineering and switchboard production. It was founded in 2025.
