About Solskifer
Solskifer AS produces a building-integrated solar roof tile that is installed like a conventional roof tile and connects through an MC4 system and inverter to supply power to the building. The product is rated at 172 W/m² with a 25-year power guarantee and a 10-year product guarantee, and is tested by SINTEF, IFE and RISE Fire Research.
The company sells to homeowners and other building owners, including detached houses, holiday homes and renovation projects, and also reports a commercial building project in the Faroe Islands. Customers request a quote through a short online form, after which the company measures the roof and delivers a quote, and certified roofers install the tiles.
The company is registered in Jømna, Innlandet, Norway, and production takes place in Elverum. It was founded in 2021 and reports an investment of more than 40 million in its production line. Its stated area of service is Norway.
Product: Building-integrated solar roof tile (solcelletakstein) that serves as both roof covering and photovoltaic module, installed by certified roofers.
