About sokratherm.de

SOKRATHERM manufactures compact combined heat and power (BHKW) modules that generate electricity and heat from one unit, with electrical outputs from 50 kW to 1 MW. The range also includes large heat pumps, which are combined with its CHP units, and maintenance and service concepts for installed units. The company's CHP modules come with a sound-insulated housing and an integrated control cabinet, and an industrial PC controller supports automated operation and remote monitoring.

Customers include operators of swimming pools, hotels, hospitals, industrial plants, residential complexes, administrative buildings and wastewater treatment plants. The company sells its CHP modules and heat pumps as equipment and offers service for them. It states that about 2,500 modules have been delivered in more than 20 countries.

SOKRATHERM was founded in 1977 by Dipl.-Ing. Hermann Meinhold in Hiddenhausen (North Rhine-Westphalia), where its headquarters and administration, sales and project management are located. Its production site is in Nordhausen (Thuringia), and it has its own sales offices in Germany as well as international sales and service partners. The company employs around 150 people and is recruiting new staff.

Product: Compact combined heat and power (BHKW) modules from 50 kW to 1 MW electrical output, large heat pumps, and service and maintenance for installed units.
