About Sofecta Labs

Sofecta Labs provides managed detection and response (MDR) for endpoints, networks, clouds, identities, mobile devices, email and SaaS applications. Its services combine a security operations team with XDR analytics that use built-in correlation and machine-learning rules, AI-assisted SOAR playbooks, and threat hunting. The company also offers managed observability on a fully managed Elastic-based SaaS infrastructure, security consulting, and a ThreatCTRL asset and security management portal.

The company was created by merging Sofecta's XDR services with the cybersecurity expertise of Deductive Labs. Its customers are organisations that want MDR or security services delivered as turnkey solutions, with the option to integrate an existing detection or IDS tool into the service. Its stated aim is to make cybersecurity services accessible to organisations of all sizes.

Sofecta Labs was founded in 2022 and is headquartered in Helsinki. Its four co-founders are Marko Nenonen (CEO), Kim Halavakoski (MDR operations and consulting), Samipetri Maijanen (SaaS environments and IT) and Jakob Lundberg (solutions and development). The company currently has an open position for a Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO).
