Sofistone

Sofistone Oy builds high-security, high-reliability data archiving services and systems. Its archiving platform, referred to as the CRRA system, covers legal retention requirements with typical spans of 1 to 15 years, and it adds secure user interfaces, automated data-request interfaces and data-mining features that present events and their relationships in text and graphical form.

Customers outsource archiving to Sofistone so they can meet retention obligations without building customer-specific archiving systems or maintaining them. Archives sit on fully redundant storage with synchronous mirroring to secondary archiving sites, and every access or extract is recorded in a secure audit trail. The stated compliance basis includes national industry archiving rules, EU directives, SOX, SEC 17a-4 and HIPAA. Archiving is offered for piloting, implementation and integration. Current focus is research, product prototypes and proof-of-concept systems, and customer pilot projects are active.

The company was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. Its procedures follow ISO 27001 requirements, and the certification process is under way.
