About SFÉRA
SFÉRA, a.s. is a Slovak software solutions provider that develops its own platforms, XMtrade and XMatik, for the energy sector and for rail vehicles. Its digital services cover development on these platforms, system integration, hardware and software sales, cloud and infrastructure, research and development, VR/AR, AI-based digital transformation, and operations and SLA support.
Customers include energy companies, market operators, distribution companies, industrial enterprises, infrastructure operators and public institutions. Rail customers named on the site are ZSSK, Cargo Slovakia and ŽSR. Work is delivered as implementation, integration and support projects for clients.
The company was founded in 1999 as a joint-stock company and is headquartered in Bratislava. It describes itself as an IT partner to businesses for over 30 years. Implementations include the XMtrade/ISOT system for the Slovak day-ahead electricity market in 2021 and a 2025 EU Commission tender award to develop a platform for procurement of minerals, gas and hydrogen. It also offers internships, thesis support and a graduate onboarding program for students and new graduates.
