Sentry Software develops monitoring Knowledge Modules and ETLs that extend BMC Helix Operations Management and BMC TrueSight. The modules cover hardware, storage, network and application monitoring across multiple vendors, using standards such as SNMP, IPMI, REST, WBEM, WMI and SSH. It also offers a software solution that measures IT equipment electricity consumption and carbon footprint.

Its customers are BMC customers and enterprises across sectors. Revenue comes from the monitoring modules, which are distributed through BMC Helix, and from consulting services covering audit and planning, implementation, migration from TrueSight to Helix, and rapid custom monitoring, delivered in France.

The company was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Paris. It has been a BMC MarketZone partner since soon after its founding and was named BMC MarketZone Partner of the Year 2025. The website states that more than 100,000 systems are monitored worldwide.
