About Seaber

Seaber designs and manufactures micro autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). Its YUCO vehicle dives to 300 m with 8-10 hours of autonomy, weighs 10 kg and is 1 m long. The MARVEL line is aimed at survey and defence missions, including security, coast guard, mine countermeasures and ASW training. Both lines are offered with selectable payloads such as side-scan sonar, CTD, multibeam echosounder, magnetometer, camera and eDNA sampler.

Customers include oceanographic researchers, navies, coast guards and offshore operators. The company sells AUV systems, and states that over 90% of its AUV systems are exported. The University of Iceland is named as a customer that acquired two Seaber AUVs.

Seaber was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Lorient, France. It is hiring for AUV and underwater robotics engineers, embedded software and control engineers, autonomy and navigation specialists, field technicians, oceanography experts and business support roles.

Product: YUCO and MARVEL micro AUVs with selectable sensor payloads for oceanographic survey and defence missions.
