About s-trust.de
S-Trust offered a password and document manager as a web app, with a desktop app, mobile app and browser extension. The service has been discontinued: the web app was shut down on 31 March 2026, and access to accounts ended from April 2026.
Its users were individuals holding personal S-Trust accounts under the service's terms of use. Contracts for existing accounts ended on 30 January 2026, and the desktop app, mobile app and browser extension were switched off on 1 March 2026. The company stated that the product did not establish itself sufficiently in the market to remain economically viable.
Users were directed to SecureSafe, a service of DSwiss AG in Switzerland, as an alternative for password and document management. Stored data was to be deleted from April 2026.
