About Rainforest Builder

Rainforest Builder restores degraded tropical forest in the Upper Guinean Forest in Africa. It runs the full restoration chain itself: developing carbon projects, operating what it describes as Africa's largest indigenous tree nurseries, and protecting forests over the long term. Its model combines restoration science with commercial forestry practices.

The company works in partnership with communities, governments and offtakers. Each of its projects spans more than 100,000 hectares and is expected to generate carbon credits. Under a land-sparing model, it also plans agricultural improvement and infrastructure investment for neighbouring communities, and it monitors carbon, biodiversity and social impact.

Rainforest Builder Ltd is registered in England and Wales, was founded in 2022 and has its head office in London. It also has offices in Accra and Freetown. Its first four projects are in the Upper Guinean Forest, which the company says employs 2,500 people.

Product: Reforestation and carbon project development, tree nursery operations and long-term forest protection in the Upper Guinean Forest.
