About Procode Technology

Procode provides energy data management technology. Its products are Smart Datastream, which gives access to smart meter data flows without a separate connection to the Data Communications Company (DCC); the Intelligent Data (DCC) Adapter, which connects to energy data from over 30 million smart meters; and Smart Meter Labs, a testing environment for real-life smart meter device scenarios.

Its customers are energy suppliers and businesses in the energy sector. The company states that over two million UK households across England, Scotland and Wales are connected to its systems. Features it describes include up to 13 months of historical data, a customisable user interface for portfolio management, and an embeddable consent widget for customer sign-up journeys.

Procode was launched in 2006 and is headquartered in Eastleigh, United Kingdom. Its Canary Care product, powered by Procode, won the Innovative Tech of the Year award for 2025.
