About Ocricom

OCRICOM provides optical coatings design, consultation and fabrication services. Coatings offered include antireflection, high reflective mirrors, partial reflectors and passband filters, applied to laser mirror substrates, optical windows, semiconductor wafers, optical fibers and custom samples. It also keeps stock substrates in fused silica, sapphire and silicon, and acts as a representative for two coating system providers, Swiss Cluster AG and I-Photonics UAB.

The company aims to serve the Finnish photonics industry and research with coating services and products that it describes as not otherwise available in Finland at the required level. Its work is sold as coating design, consultation and turnkey coated optics. During its start-up phase it uses the Tampere University Photonics Laboratory cleanroom infrastructure, with its main system being an ion beam sputtering (IBS) system.

OCRICOM Oy was founded on 9 October 2023 and began operations on 1 January 2024. It is headquartered in Tampere. The company is owned by its founders, DSc Jarno Reuna and BSc Susanna Reuna, and states an aim to grow beyond the family ownership and to house its own deposition and characterisation systems over time.
