About Norwegian Subsea
Norwegian Subsea AS designs and produces motion reference units (MRUs), sensors that measure the movement of a vessel or object in six degrees of freedom: roll, pitch, yaw, surge, sway and heave. The range includes the MRU Compact, Marine, Subsea and Ex models, with roll and pitch accuracy series of 0.05°, 0.02° and 0.01°. The units are configured with the company's free MRU Configurator.
Customers include manufacturers and operators in marine, hydrography, subsea, wind energy and helideck monitoring. Named customers include Radac, which uses the MRUs in its WaveGuide wave radar systems, ShoreConnection, a helideck motion monitoring manufacturer, and Light Structures, which applies them to structural health monitoring.
The company was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Oslo, Norway. The website states that more than 1200 of its MRUs are in operation on over 600 vessels, floating and subsea structures.
Product: Motion Reference Units (MRUs) for marine, subsea, land and wind energy applications, configured with a free MRU Configurator.
