About Numascale
Numascale develops interconnect hardware, including the UNC5 node controller, which connects Intel Xeon Scalable processors into cache-coherent shared-memory servers of 8 to 32 CPUs. The company was founded in Oslo in 2008 as a spin-off of Dolphin Interconnect Solutions and traces its technology to Norsk Data and Dolphin's Scalable Coherent Interface products.
Its customers are server manufacturers: scale-up servers from Eviden, Dell and Hitachi use the UNC5 node controller. The company names cloud providers and datacenters as the operators it targets. Numascale is a licensee of Intel's Ultra Path Interconnect (UPI) technology and has worked with AMD, Atos and Bull on node controllers, and it is a member of several industry consortia, including ETP4HPC, CXL, Ultra Ethernet and Ultra Accelerator Link.
Headquarters are in Oslo, with offices in Beaverton (Oregon), Valencia and Singapore. The company's careers page lists open applications for engineers with 4+ years of experience in verification (SystemVerilog/UVM or VHDL/UVVM).
