About Northern Ballet

Northern Ballet creates and tours ballet across the UK, combining classical ballet technique with acting. It is the only professional ballet company in the UK fully integrated with its own training Academy. Its work also includes participatory programmes in schools and community settings, an inclusive dance programme, and digital dance content such as full-length ballets and short films.

Audiences book tickets to its productions, and people can sign up to its free membership for priority booking. The company is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation and a registered charity, and it presents work at venues including the Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre in Leeds.

The company was set up in 1969 and is based in Leeds, where it operates a city centre venue, studios and a workshop in Bramley. Current vacancies include a Principal Conductor and a part-time Head Receptionist, and roles span touring, performance and administration.

Product: Touring full-length story ballets, Academy ballet training, participatory community and school dance programmes, and digital dance content.
