About Norsk Titanium
Norsk Titanium makes near-net-shape titanium preforms using Rapid Plasma Deposition (RPD®), an additive manufacturing process that deposits Ti-6Al-4V titanium wire. The preforms are finished through conventional machining and inspection and are offered as an alternative to forged structural components. The company states that the process has been in production for more than a decade.
Customers are manufacturers of structural titanium parts in commercial aerospace, defense and industrial markets, including semiconductor and energy applications. The company supplies qualified parts and says its work is Nadcap accredited and AS9100D certified, with MMPDS-published material data. Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems are listed among its commercial partners.
Norsk Titanium was founded in 2007 by Dr. Alf Bjørseth and Petter Gjørvad and is headquartered in Oslo. It operates three facilities, including ITAR-registered U.S. defense production. Its careers page lists open positions in the United States and Norway.
