About Nextherm

Nextherm designs and assembles geothermal and air-to-water heat pumps in Beaumont-lès-Valence, in the Drôme department of France. Its geothermal ground collectors are also produced on site, from copper tube sheathed in polyethylene. The range covers units from 3 to 400 kW, for single houses up to small multi-dwelling buildings, with options for free cooling, reversibility and domestic hot water. The company states that its geothermal range uses R454C refrigerant.

Nextherm sells exclusively as a manufacturer, working through a network of installer and design-office partners rather than selling directly to end customers. Its products serve both new construction and the replacement or renovation of existing installations, including older heat pumps from other brands.

The company was founded in 2006 and presents itself as having more than 40 years of expertise in geothermal technology, with its founder, Jean-Luc Barrault, described as one of the pioneers of geothermal energy in France. Its site lists a 2,550 m² site of offices and workshops and 25 employees and commercial agents.

Product: Geothermal and air-to-water heat pumps (3 to 400 kW) with R454C refrigerant, plus on-site produced geothermal ground collectors
