About nextbike Czech Republic

nextbike Czech Republic s.r.o. operates a bike-sharing service. Riders rent shared bikes through a mobile app or customer line, open the lock by scanning the QR code on the bike, and return it to an official station or designated return point.

Customers are individual riders, as well as universities and companies that offer discounted fares or free credits to students and employees. Revenue comes from pay-per-use rental fees and optional monthly and annual subscriptions, listed in the company's 2026 price list.

The company was founded in 2018 by Lukáš Luňák and Tomáš Karpov and is headquartered in Olomouc. It states that its service runs in more than 50 cities and municipalities in the Czech Republic and that one nextbike account works in more than 300 cities worldwide. It is currently hiring a shared-bike service technician in Prague.

Product: Shared bike rental (mechanical and electric bikes) through the nextbike mobile app, with pay-per-use and subscription plans.
