About Nexeon
Nexeon develops and manufactures silicon-based anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. Its NSP2 material is a drop-in replacement for the graphite used in the anode of a conventional cell, and the company states that it needs about 50% of the original volume to deliver the same performance.
Its customers are battery and device makers in electric vehicles, wearables, medical devices, consumer electronics and energy storage. The company sells its material to them and says its commercial teams are placed across Europe, Japan, South Korea and the United States.
Nexeon was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK. It runs a technical centre in Yokohama, Japan, and has established its first mass production facility in South Korea. The company holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, and its board includes investor directors.
Product: NSP2 silicon anode material, a drop-in replacement for graphite in lithium-ion battery cells.
