About Nova Innovation
Nova Innovation is an Edinburgh-based energy company that offers floating solar, electrification and marine services for energy projects, covering concept through delivery. Its floating solar systems use floating structures to generate clean electricity on inland water bodies or at sea, and the company describes them as robust, fully warranted PV systems that produce grid-compliant power.
Customers are businesses and project owners with suitable water bodies who want to replace grid imports with cheaper, self-generated electricity. The company's floating solar projects include a solar farm at a UK quarry in Cheshire, and it has a floating solar joint venture, AquaGen365, with RSK.
Founded in 2009, the company is headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland. Its milestones include delivering what it describes as the first offshore tidal energy array in 2016, a baseload tidal power station in 2018, investment from the Scottish National Investment Bank in 2021, and Scotland's first floating solar deployment in 2023.
Product: Floating solar systems, electrification services and marine energy services for energy projects, from concept to delivery.
