About Navitec Systems

Navitec Systems develops navigation, vehicle control and fleet management software for automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). Its products are Navitrol, for vehicle positioning and control, and Navithor, a fleet control system; the software is hardware-agnostic and supports VDA 5050.

Its customers are OEM manufacturers of AGVs and AMRs, for whom it sells direct vehicle automation, and end-users in manufacturing, automotive, warehousing, hospitals and outdoor settings. Services include pre-studies, simulation, vehicle integration with a fixed integration time, hourly or turnkey installation support, and a three-tier Master Class training programme. The company reports more than 150 active OEM customers and 7,000+ AGVs and AMRs using its software.

Navitec was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in Espoo, Finland. It opened an office in Germany in 2023 and a local office in Japan in 2026. The company started with natural feature navigation for mining vehicles.
