About Moulton Bulb Company

Oldershaw Group, legally Moulton Bulb Co. Ltd, is a family-owned allium business covering growing, storage, grading, packing and processing of onions, garlic and shallots. Its four divisions are Oldershaws of Moulton (growing), Moulton Bulb (grading and packing), Goldwood (peeled, diced and sliced products) and Moulton Bulb Imports (wholesale imports). Each bulb is checked with near-infrared grading before packing.

The customers are UK supermarkets, wholesalers, food manufacturers and recipe box companies, served with packed whole crop, prepared products and imported onions. The group states an annual turnover of £90m and packing of around 100,000 tonnes a year.

The company was founded in 1964; the Oldershaw family's farming at Moulton began in 1948. The head office is in Spalding, Lincolnshire, with the main site at Moulton, and Moulton Bulb Imports is based in Liverpool. The group employs around 340 people and lists open roles in Spalding, including machine operator positions at Goldwood.
