About Morecambe Offshore Windfarm
Morecambe Offshore Windfarm is a UK offshore wind project with a nominal capacity of 480MW, using up to 35 fixed bottom turbines. The site lies approximately 30km from the Lancashire coast in the Eastern Irish Sea.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) agreed in March 2025 to acquire full ownership of the project from COBRA Group and Flotation Energy. Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP), CIP's offshore wind development partner, leads development and construction, and Flotation Energy remains involved as development partner.
The project company is registered in the UK as a limited company, founded in 2022, with its registered seat in Edinburgh. The Development Consent Order for the generation assets was awarded in December 2025. Careers are advertised under the Copenhagen Offshore Partners name.
